This policy describes how Mariana Castro (speech-language therapist and educational psychologist, registered with the Nicaraguan Ministry of Health) collects, uses, and protects information families share when contacting the practice or requesting a consultation through this site. By messaging on WhatsApp or by email, you accept the terms described below. This policy is governed by Nicaragua's Law 787 on the Protection of Personal Data.

Information collected

Information is received directly from you when you request a consultation or send a message. It may include: your name and your child's name, the patient's age, reason for the consultation, relevant developmental history, contact number, and email. No financial data, government identification numbers, or medical details beyond what is necessary for the consultation are requested.

How information is used

The data you share is used solely to: (1) coordinate the appointment, (2) prepare the initial evaluation, (3) develop the intervention plan, and (4) maintain the patient's clinical record. Clinical information about minors is handled with the confidentiality required of a professional registered with MINSA.

Storage and retention

Messages received via WhatsApp and email are kept on Mariana Castro's personal devices, protected by passcode. Clinical records are retained for the duration of the care relationship plus five additional years, in line with standard clinical practice.

Sharing with third parties

Patient information is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for commercial purposes. It is shared only when: (a) you expressly authorize it (for example, to send a report to your child's school), (b) a competent authority requires it under Nicaraguan law, or (c) consultation with another health professional is necessary, always with your consent.

Your rights

You have the right to request access, correction, or deletion of the personal information you have shared. To exercise any of these rights, simply write to [email protected] or message on WhatsApp at +505 8522 1062. Requests are answered within a reasonable timeframe.

Website and analytics

This site is static and installs no tracking cookies. Cloudflare may record aggregate traffic data (country, browser, page visited) without identifying individual visitors. No remarketing or targeted-advertising tools are used.
